Rising:Trekking from Simba Camp to Kikilewa Camp After an early breakfast the hiking will continue, thehike will begin from SimbaCamp up to the second altitude camp named Kikilewa (3630m) from here magnificent Kibo volcano at its finest can be seen. This hiking is more physical demanding than the previous one therefore full rest is highly recommended after the arrivalat Kikilewa camp .
After a restful night hikers and the team will wake up early in the morning and after breakfast the hiking will continue to the steep grassy slopes with an exclusive enjoyment of breath-taking views,soon afterpassing through vegetation towards Mawenzi. Thereafter arriving to the camp, the hikers will have lunch and then take a rest of about 2 hours. And then resume to the hike to the Mawenzi volcano, with a 200-meter gain in altitude. Later hike down to Mawenzi TarnCamp, where dinner will be served in the evening. This back and forth hike is necessary so as to provide an adaptive mode of hiking so as to approach a successfully summit and prevent the altitude sickness.
The day will be spent hiking towards School Hut Camp(4715m). The weather here will change abruptly to allow a rocky semi desert. The experience of hiking is not that difficult just by following appropriate instructions tourists will make a way towards Kilimanjaro’s summit. Then after reaching the camp a great restful night is recommended in time so as to regain enough strength to ascend Uhurupeak(5895m).
Midnight departure from School Hut Camp (4715m) towards hiking Kilimanjaro’s summit Uhurupeak(5895m). The hiking is standard but the altitude might bring about a serious problem. Through the hiking process each pair of hikers will be accompanied by their own guide so as to monitor the stamina and mental progress. Then after successfully reaching theHiketoUhuru peak, tourists can descend to the nearest glacier if desired. Then return to Kibo Camp after a two-hour descent to the nearby Horombo Camp (3720m). A warm breakfast will be offered then heading to the Kilimanjaro’s National park’s exit at MaranguGate (1860m).
