Day 1 : Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp
• Rise (ft): 7,800ft to 9,500ft

Early morning drive from hotel to londorosi gate which will take about 4 hours At the gate registration and other formalities will be handled and there after drive to lemosho trail head (about 40 minutes). Upon arrival hiker(s) will eat their well-prepared lunch and begin their hike through the undisturbed lush green forest which winds up to the first camp known as the big tree camp (mtimkubwa camp)
Day 2:): Forest Camp to Shira One Camp
• Rise (ft): 9,500ft to 11,500ft
• Stretch: 8 km
• Hiking time: 5-6 hours
• Climatic habitat: Moorland
• Full Board at Shira One Camp
Hiker(s) will proceed on the path that leads out of the forest and into a savannah of tall grasses, heather and volcanic rock draped with lichen beards. The ascent passes though the lush rolling hills and cross various streams with a slight descent to shira 1 camp before reaching shira ridge. There’s a spectacular view of kibo from across the plateau
Day 3:Shira Camp 1 to Shira 2 to Moir Hut
• Rise (ft): 11,500ft to 13,800 ft
• Stretch: 14 km
• Hiking time: 5-7 hours
• Cliatic habitat: Moorland
• Full Board at Shira 2 camp
This whole day will be spent exploring the shira plateau is the one of the highest plateaus on earth it is a gentle trek heading east toward kibo’s glaciered peak across the plateau which leads to shira 2 camp. hiker(s) may opt to rest here or directly proceed to moir camp, a little used site on the base of lent hills variety of walks are available on lent hills making this a perfect acclimatization chance
Day 4 :Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp or Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco

• Stretch: 7 km
• Hiking time: 4-6 hours
• Climatic habitat: Semi Desert
• Full Board at Shira 2 or Moir Hut camp From the Shira Plateau,
hiker(s) will proceed trekking to the east up a ridge passing the intersection as we continue the direction changes to the south east towards the lava tower called the “shark tooth” immediately after the tower we continue to the second intersection which brings us up to the arrow glacier at an elevation of 16,00ft. We will now proceed down to the barranco camp at an altitude of 13,00ft. Here hikers will rest, get dinner and spend the night. This day is made especially for acclimatization as you sleep low and climb high, this will prepare your body for the summit day
Day 5 :Barranco Camp to Karanga camp
• Rise (ft): 13,000ft to 13,100ft
• Stretch: 5km
• Hiking time: 4-5 hours
• Climatic habitat: Alpine Desert
• Full Board at Karanga Camp
After an early breakfast hiker(s) will leave barranco and proceed on a steep ridge passing the intimidating barranco wall to the karanga valley campsite. This is a short day meant for acclimatization
Day 6:Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
• Rise (ft): 13,100ft to 15,300ft
Stretch: 4 km
• Hiking time: 4-5 hours
• Climatic habitat: Alpine Desert
• Full Board at Barafu Hut Camp
After having breakfast at karanga hiker(s) will start trekking and hit the junction which connects with the mweka trail.We proceed up to the barafu camp, This will be the completion of the south circuit which offers stunning view of the summit from many different angles. we make camp rest and enjoy dinner and prepare for the summit day.
Day 7:Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Hut
• Rise (ft): 15,300ft to 19,345ft (and down to 10,000ft)
• Stretch: 5 km ascent / 12 km descent
• Hiking time: 7-8 hours ascent / 4-6 hours descent
• Climatic Habitat: Arctic
• Full Board at Mweka Camp
Very early in the morning (midnight to 2 am) we proceed our way to the summit between the rebmann and ratzel glaciers. You head in a northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards stella point on the crater rim. This part of the trek can be a bit more challenging because of the harsh weather and steepness at Stella point (18,600) you will stop for a rest and be rewarded with the most beautiful sunrise you are ever likely to see (weather permitting). From Stella point snow may be encountered all the way to the summit at the uhuru peak< the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro and the whole of Africa you will be allowed to take some pictures and enjoy sunrise for the fast hikers.
After a short while descent will begin heading to mweka camp campsite stopping at barafu for lunch. Gaiters and trekking poles can come in handy while descending. Later in the evening the last dinner on the mountain will be offered and later get the well-deserved rest.
Day 8:Mweka Camp to Moshi
•Decend (ft): 10,000ft to 5,400ft Stretch: 10 km
• Hiking time: 3-4 hours
• Climatic habitat: Rain Forest
• Half Board
After breakfast hiker(s) will proceed down to the mweka park gate to receive hiker’s summit certificates, at lower altitudes the land can be wet and muddy so gaiters and trekking poles are very helpful here, after reaching the mweka gate your luxury car from Africa Natural luxury safaris will be waiting for you for a smooth ride back to Moshi or arusha.
