Day 2:Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp

Rising: 2750 m to 3600 m, Stretch: 17 km, Hiking Time: 7 hours, Climatic habitat: Moorland After an early breakfast the hiking will continue up to the second camp were hikers will be servedwith lunch. Then the journey proceeds across the moorland on a smaller path to Mawenzi peak side at Kikelewa Camp in a sheltered valley. Dinner and night will be spent at Kikelewa Camp. .

Day 3 :Trekking from Kikilewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp

After a restful night hikers and the team will wake up early in the morning and after breakfast the hiking will continue to the steep grassy slopes with an exclusive enjoyment of breath-taking views,soon afterpassing through vegetation towards Mawenzi. Thereafter arriving to the camp, the hikers will have lunch and then take a rest of about 2 hours. And then resume to the hike to the Mawenzi volcano, with a 200-meter gain in altitude. Later hike down to Mawenzi TarnCamp, where dinner will be served in the evening. This back and forth hike is necessary so as to provide an adaptive mode of hiking so as to approach a successfully summit and prevent the altitude sickness.

Day 4:Acclimatization day (6 day itinerary skips this day)

This is a relaxation day, and it that will be spent at Mawenziturn for the second time. Although the enjoyment and experience is still there, thehikers and whole team will stay there to explore the beautiful view of Mawenzi peak, experiencing the weather, sharing different exposure of vegetation and having a good time. Then lunch and dinner will be there accompanied with a restful night.

Day 5:Mawenzi Tarn hut to Kibo Huts camp.

Rising: 4330 m to 4695 m Stretch: 8km Hiking Time: 5 hours Climatic habitat: Alpine Desert Waking up to Mawenzi again, early in the morning breakfast will be served. The journey will then have resumed towards Kibo peak across the Lunar desert where the hikers will stop at the bottom of Kibo’s crater wall. Then from there after passing through desert here the hikers will rest and enjoy the rest of the day and night while getting ready for final climb to Summit. .

Day 6:Kibo Huts camp to Uhuru Peak - Marangu Gate to Moshi.

As this is the last day of the journey, after taking breakfast hikers will be descending through Moorland to MandaraHulet, where the lunch break will be taken allowing tourists to enjoythe meal for the last time of the journey. Afterward the descending proceeds down through Lush forest towards MaranguPark gate.
