Our adventure will begin in the bustling city of Dar es Salaam and journey for 7 hours to Udzungwa Mountains. Enjoy the fantastic view of the country side as you drive along the Morogoro town where lunch will be offered. After lunch hour we will continue with the journey which will end at Udzungwa falls lodge where dinner will be offered and will spend the night.
After a very early breakfast we will leave our accommodation around early and start our hike, although climbing will be influenced by your face it usually takes 4 hours to hike the most recommended Sanje route. on our way you may spot some primates species where by two of them can only be found in the park which are Sanje mangabey(cercocebussanjei) and Iringa red colobus (procobusgordonorum), keep in mind that Udzungwa is one of the four world biodiversity hotspots so expect to see various endemic plant species, birds, amphibians and reptiles. After arrival at Sanje waterfall which plunges 170 meters through a misty spray into a forested valley below we will set up our camp and enjoy lunch in the bush area, after lunch we’ll keep exploring the surrounding area and opt to swim in the waterfalls pools. Dinner will be offered at the campsite.
After breakfast we will descend at the base of the water falls and head to sanje village where we start our departure back to Dar es Salaam.
