Selous game reserve covers an area of 50,00 square kilometers and is one of the largest protected areas in Africa and is relatively unspoilt by humans impact. The reserve harbors large concentration of elephants, black rhinoceros, cheetahs, hippopotamus, giraffes and crocodiles amongst many other species. The property also boasts high variety of habitats including open grasslands, riverine forests miombo woodlands and swamps. Day 1 :

We will arrive at our lodge in the afternoon, and after settling in we will go for an exciting boat drive along the majestic rufiji river. The river is approximately 600 kilometers long and you will spot plenty of hippos and crocodiles. You will also spot herds of elephants attracted by the river. Day 2:

Full day of game driving in selous After an early breakfast we will depart for a full day of game driving at the selous game reserve. The reserve is widely famous for its large concentration of elephant’s herds. Other species that can be found here are lions, wild dogs, buffaloes, bushbuck, elands, impalas, zebras and greater kudus. The secluded game reserve gets its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney selous, he was killed around the area during World War 1. There serve is also the largest in Africa.

Day 3:

Drive from selous to Dar es Salaam After breakfast, we drive back to Dar Es Salaam with picnic lunch on the way to Nyerere national park
